I was watching your post about the gastropexy, and wondered if the dog had suffered from bloat before or was this purely prophylactic? Great pictures, by the way
Hi Hazel No Lyric has never had bloat, the gastropexy was purely precautionary. The AKC greyhounds have about an 18% incidence of bloat/torsion which means about 1 in 5 dogs will experience an episode. For this reason I was proactive with the gastropexy.
